It doesn't get more bizarre than enlightenment.
The recipe to which was once only hidden only in books for sequestered priests and monks is now available to all.  This extreme paradigm shift in understanding is so radical that society has trouble even discussing it. 
However, when building strategies, ignoring important information can only lead us way off course.
